A Wave of Homelessness Threatens Seattle Businesses

Did you know that King County has one of the largest populations of homeless people in the country? It’s not hard to believe when you see the mountains of garbage and acres of tents all around the city. It’s just heartbreaking to see the number of homeless people living outside. This unfortunate reality is causing Seattle business owners and operators to face unprecedented challenges. Just look at some of the problems owners and operators are facing on a daily basis.

The homeless are:

  • Sleeping in doorways
  • Using doorways as their personal bathrooms
  • Using doorways to shoot/do drugs
  • Dashing into business openings to steel goods
  • Breaking into businesses to steel goods
  • And so much more

Frustrating? You bet it is. Unfortunately, due to a lack of response by the city, local owners and operators have had to take matters into their own hands. In fact, many have turned to Cressy Door and Fireplace to help them find solutions to combat these issues.

Fortunately, Cressy Door and Fireplace knows a thing or two about barriers. Here are some of the creative solutions our commercial teams are installing all across the city.
