Fireplaces

Cressy Door and Fireplace recommends that all gas fireplaces have an annual inspection. This practice can often be overlooked because gas fireplaces burn clean and are easy to take care of. Even though gas fireplaces are low maintenance and easy to maintain, it is important to clean your fireplace insert annually. Let the local Seattle fireplace inspection and maintenance professionals at Cressy handle the problem!

What to expect during an inspection:

  • Exterior evaluation: Our technician looks for glass that is chipped, cracked, or dirty as well as how the framework is performing. He also looks for dents or debris and assures that the interior gas ignition under the log structure lights flawlessly.
  • Interior evaluation: First order of business here, is to make sure your log set is not deteriorating. Our technician will remove the face of the unit and inspect the valves and connections underneath. He will make sure your fireplace’s heat output is correct, and clean up any residue blocking ports or vents.
  • After a routine check, your technician will make sure that you are aware of any repairs your gas fireplace may need. Our technicians have a wealth of information and will be happy to answer any questions you may have about your fireplace or insert. If you would like to schedule a routine inspection, give us a call or fill out the form to the right and one of our team members will respond promptly.
